St Andrew’s Beaten
In a game which produced much good Rugby, Hamilton Boys’ High School beat St Andrew’s College, 19-9, at Lancaster Park yesterday.
Both sides used its backs competently, but the tackling and cover-defending was of such a standard that tries were not easily scored. Hamilton’s advantage lay in its rugged pack, which was slightly more efficient in taking the ball forward than the St Andrew’s eight. Tries for Hamilton were scored by L. Green (two), P. ; Prescott, A. Walker and B. [Fielder. Prescott kicked two [conversions. For St Andrew’s, R. Wilson kicked three penalties.
