Next Race For Good Chase
Godfl Chase Is making a good' recovery from the injuries received in a race accident at Yonkers Raceway earlier in the month and it is intended to start him next in the Dan Patch Pace at Yonkers on May Although it was reported that Good Chase required stitching in his injured knee, it developed that no sewing was needed. The wound was bandaged and Good Chase was able to be jogged only 12 hours after the accident.
Good Chase will have to make a bold showing in the Dan Patch Pace to earn a start in the international series, which starts a week later.
The Light Brigade six-year-old has been beaten in only two of his seven starts, and in one of them he finished second. His imin 59 3-ssec is still the fastest on a Jialf-mile track for the year. New Zealand horses continue to do well in New York, with Orbiter winning twice recently at Yonkers. Both races carried stakes of $6250. Hikari was another winner at Yonkers, where Adorato, John Peel and Heriot have been placed.
