PROTEST BY CLUB
Action Is Deferred
“The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON.
The Welington Rugby Union’s management committee has deferred action over the Athletic club’s allegation of attacks on its players by Naenae Old Boys players after their match last Saturday. Athletic also alleged that Naenae players and others had abused the referee as he left the field. The management committee called for full reports from the referee of the match, Mr R. Marsh, and the Naenae club.
Earlier, the meeting had been told the referee did not wish to report on the alleged incident. The meeting decided however, to demand a report from him.
