Fears Held For Dairy Farmers

WELLINGTON, March 20.
The Dairy Board is gravely concerned about the situation of dairy farmers in New Zealand. not only because of the hardship caused by the drought but also because of the situation resulting from rising costs and labour problems on the farms, the board said tonight. “Industrial stoppages in some industries have also caused direct loss to some farmers,” said the board chair man (Mr F. L. Onion).
“The whole situation is fraught with danger for the future of the dairy industry and is under constant review with the Government.”
