East-Shirley Fails Against Park
East Shirley. 17 for one. with G Tan 7 not out and A. L. Andrew 2 not out, had to chase Lancaster Park's first innings total of 283 for nine declared. East Shirley put up a poor performance on a slow wicket and after being 105 for four at lunch was all out at 3.25 p.m. for 168, Andrews (35), and T. R. Marshall <3l) being the top scorers. Following on. East Shirley was 104 for two when stumps were drawn, giving Lancaster Park a win on the first innings. For Park W. R. Wilson and C. W. Aldridge, bowled well, I Aldridge taking five for 35 and I Wilson three for 70. Wilson ; bowled unchanged for 23 overs sand conceded only 70 runs in his 24.5 overs.
