CHAROLAIS BULL.—This Charolais bull has been imported from England by a group of Canterbury cattle breeders under the name of Canterbury Charolais, Ltd. The cost to the group when the bull was landed in the province was $17,000. The bull, Cowcroft Equity, which was born on March 1 last year, had had no exercise for three months after being in quarantine in England, on board ship and then in quarantine in New Zealand when it was photographed last week.
