TIMBER MAN HONOURED
(From Our Own Reporter) ROTORUA, October 14. Mr H. S. Smart, of Christchurch, was today elected to life membership of the Timber Merchants’ Federation. Mr Smart, who has occupied a number of executive positions, and who is a past president of the federation,
said that he started in the timber industry in Christ- ■ church in 1921, and had > worked in all branches of • milling and merchanting. Mr D. E. Hagenson was re- - elected president, and Messrs !W. A. Bourke (Auckland) t and G. R. Rear (Manawatu) , were elected vice-presidents.
