Old House Destroyed
Detectives are investigating a fire which destroyed an old unoccupied house owned by Florence Bros, farmers, at 115 Travis Road, Burwood, on Saturday evening. The cause of the outbreak is not known. Two units from the New Brighton Station and one from the Wooiston Station answered a call received at 10.05 p.m Two jets were used to extinguish the blaze. The firemen were called to the scene again about 4 a.m. yesterday to put out the flames, which had broken out again.'
