Angus Bull Sale
"Th* Prut" Special Servlet I MASTERTON, Sept 21. Top price at the Wairarapa Aberdeen Angus Association’s annual bull sale in Masterton on Friday was $B5O for a bull owned by Mr T. P. Kjestrup, and sold to the Hautotara Trust The bull was one of the pen of three which won the Derrick Gould cup for the best pen of three run bulls. The cup is given by Mr D. W. J. Gould, of Christchurch, and was first presented in 1953. The Falloon cup, which is for the best unled two-year-old of the sale, was won by L L. Keats, who also won the cup last year. A total of 125 two-year-old bulls and six stud bulls were offered but several of the lots were passed in. One lot of three bulls was offered by Mr Gould, and they sold for $5OO each.
Prices for the two-year-old bulls ranged from $250 to $B5O.
