WINEMAKING RESEARCH
Scientists To Be Appointed
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, August 25. Oenologists winemakers —are to be appointed at the Ruakura Soil Research Station. The director of the station, Mr 1. Elliott, said ohe such position had already been advertised. "It is difficult to get suitable trained oenologists in New Zealand at present as there is a great demand for them in the industry. “This training is necessary if we are to meet the demand and improve the standard of wines in this country,” he said. Scientists appointed would do field work at Te Kauwhata, but would be based at Ruakura with other scientists.
