Choral Verse Speaking
An address on the values of choral verse speaking was given by Mrs A. Stirrup, the Trinity College speech examiner, at the August meeting of the Canterbury branch of the Associated Teachers of Speech and Drama. This was followed by a practical demonstration in which Mrs Stirrup used both teachers and students in a wide variety of choral work. Mrs Stirrup stimulated her choirs, and proved the importance choral verse speaking can play in teaching speech.
