ALLEGED PLOT
Denial By Student <N.Z.P.A.-Reut«r—Copyright) KUALA LUMPUI., Aug. 26. The acting president of the National Association of Malaysian Moslem Students’ (Mr Mansor Bin Rahman) today denied that he or his association was involved In a secret campaign to launch a revolution in the country. Mr Mansor was commenting on remarks by the Prime Minister (Tunku Abdul Rahman). who had said that he believed such a campaign was being conducted under the guise of teaching Islam, and involved some Malay students. A report to this effect was given to the Tunku by the Chief Minister of the northern state of Perlin (Tan Sri Sheikh AhmM) after he had attended a meeting of the Perlis branch of the Moslem Students’ Association last Friday. The Tunku said yesterday that he had ordered a full police investigation into the alleged attempt to topple the Government.
Denying the accusation today, Mr Mansor said that his association had repeatedly supported the National Operations Council, directed by Tun Abdul Razak, and established after the May rioting in Malaysia.
