EX-KIWIS MATCH
Young Side Fielded
A pleasant mixture of past, present and future Rugby league talent will be on display at the Show Grounds tomorrow when the Ex-Kiwis meet the Canterbury Maoris. The Maoris, who will also be playing an Otago XIII at Dunedin and the Pakeha XIII this season, will have a difficult task containing one of the youngest Ex-Kiwis teams for many years. G. R. Cooksley, W. P. Noonan and R. S. Walker, three members of the Kiwi squad that drew the test series with Australia last month, have been included in the ExKiwis team, although a leg injury may prevent Noonan from playing. The Mari st-Western Suburbs prop, M. H. Mohi, who will play for the Maoris tomorrow, has been added to the Canterbury squad to train for the match against Auckland next Saturday because of the doubt surrounding Noonan.
The Maoris v. Ex-Kiwis match will be preceded by a game between two Canterbury teams that will take part in the southern zone Rothmans 17-years tournament next week-end.
