(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright)
SNEEM, May 15. General Charles de Gaulle, the 6ft 6in former President of France, who is on holiday with Mrs de Gaulle in the Republic of Ireland, has said “non” to the Bft long bed specially provided for him by the Government at the Heron Cove Hotel in Sneem, County Kerry.
The bed, grand though it was, was too hard. Two smaller, but softer single beds have been moved into his room.
