SOUTHPORT (Queensland). In an exciting game on Sunday night Queensland defeated the' New Zealand un-der-18 indoor basketball side, 5M3. The New Zealand team is taking part' in the Australian under-18 basketball championships, which began on Saturday. In Sunday's match the New Zealand captain, L. Houston, played a good game with some great rebounding. The top scorer for New Zealand was S. Manibera, who scored 22 points. The New Zealand side’s next game is against New South Wales.
