Action Wanted On Alcoholism
(N.Z., Press Association! AUCKLAND, May 12. There was far too much talking and not nearly enough doing in the field of alcoholism and drug addiction, the Governor-General (Sir Arthur Porritt) said today in an address to members of the Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Information Centre. “I believe this to be the most sinister epidemic the world is coping with at the moment,” he said. “It is so representative of the social sickness in life one sees in so many ways today.”
