MISSION FOR ROCKFELLER
Tour Of Latin America
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) KEY BISCAYNE (Florida), May 11
The Governor of New York (Mr Nelson Rockefeller) will stop at the winter White House at Key Biscayne today for talks with President Nixon before starting the first of four Presidential factfinding missions to Latin America.
An advisory staff of 23 specialists will accompany Mr Rockefeller on his visit, and also on the eight-day tour of seven central American countries.
They will visit Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nigaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, before returning to the United States on May 19. The party will make three additional journeys to take in all Latin American countries. The President has asked the Republican Governor to bring back the views of Central and South American leaders. His report will presumably form the basis for Mr Nixon’s Latin American policy.
