Washington University in St Louis, Missouri, has invited a senior lecturer in education at the Christchurch Teachers’ College (Mr C. J. Wright), who is in the United States on a fellowship, to stay another six months and help with a research project. Reporting this to Wednesday evening’s meeting of the college council, the principal of theprimary division (Dr J. F. Mann) said that the project was an instruction centre for work in classroom inter-act-ion and the use of closed circuit television. “It could be of benefit to us because Mr Wright will be doing some of the things we hope to do in Christchurch,” he said. The council will recommend to the Education Department i that leave be granted.
