Pine, the Canterbury Squash Rackets Association president, said that the progress of the game in the district was almost entirely due to the initiative of the administrators of the Christchurch club over the last 10 years. ..That there are now over 2000 registered squash players and 54 inter-club teams may be directly attributed to the help and leadership of the Christchurch club," he added.
