CHATHAMS CRAYFISH

Delay On New Regulations (From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, April 29. It is likely to be at least a month before the new reflations aimed at conserving crayfish supplies and improving the quality of tails for export will be available for inspection by commercial fishermen and merchants. The Minister of Marine (Mr Scott) said at Waitangi in the Chatham Islands on January 30 that he expected the regulations to come into force in February.

The regulations are now in the hands of the Law Drafting Office.
