Noise In The Bar
Sir, —When one goes to partake of the good ale, and enjoy the company of his fellow man, is it necessary to have the ever-increasing amplification of the music? Gentle modern music in the background, yes; but not the eardamaging racket that one is subjected to in many local hotels. There must be many like myself who steal away into the night, never to return. because the noise cannot be tolerated for one moment longer. Is this what the customers want?—Yours, etc.. 115 DECIBELS.
