The market was generally ; steady with about the same |number of price increases as I decreases on last week’s prices iat the Christchurch produce markets on Monday. In the vegetable section, cabbages rose considerably from 25c to 45c a case to 40c to 70c a case but sprouts dropped from 85 20 to $5.90 a case to $4.10 to 84.50 a case Potatoes have remained steady for some time at 81.20 a sugar bag Fruit showed some fluctuations with grapes up from 35c to 60c a pound to 45c to 75c a pound. Tamarillos dropped from 83.75 to 85 a case to 82.75 to $4.10. The official range of prices supplied by the Christchurch Fruit and Vegetable Wholesalers’ Association was: Marrows.—To 70c a bag.
