OFFER STILL AWAITED

(N.Z. Press Association) ADELAIDE. R. M. Cameron, the owner of the brilliant New Zealand-bred pacer, Twinkle Hanover, is still waiting for further news from his American contact about a $lOO,OOO offer for the gelding. A friend of Cameron’s in the United States, who is in close contact with the leading trotting stables, was originally approached by one of the stables when it was learnt that a Canadian offer for $75,000 fell through three weeks ago. Cameron sa-id yesterday: “In cases like this you have to be patient. My American friend probably is waiting the outcome of Saturday night’s Inter-Dom-inion Championship Grand Final at Wayville.

“If Twinkle Hanover is lucky enough to win, and he has the job ahead now from the second row, then his bargaining powers will be even stronger.

“Twinkle Hanover is for sale, but at my price,” he said.
