MINE FAN STOPPED
Signalling the end of underground salvage work, the Dobson Mine fan was switched off for the last time yesterday afternoon. The air flow fan, six feet in diameter, which circulated 120,000 cubic feet of air a minute through the mine, was installed in 1955.
