Hydatids Lost In Malvern
The hydadds control scheme had cost dog owners tn the county 839.489 since its inception in 1961, the inspector (Mr D. Priest) reported to the Malvern County Council on Friday. He said that 37,595 samples since 1961 had shown 385 dogs with true hydatids, 1951 with false hydatids and 1000 with ovis. On the last round of farm dosing, 1824 samples had shown nine cases of true hydatids, 81 of false, and 127 with ovis. The high figure of ovis was disturbing, but now that it was under the Hydat- ‘ ids Act, this should have an effect.
