(N Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BRISBANE. The American Davis Cup player, A. R. Ashe, won his second Queensland tennis singles title yesterday but had to struggle to beat his teammate, S. Smith, 6-4, 1-6, 9-7, 4-6, 7-5. Smith is now favoured to beat C. Pasarell and C. Graebner to represent America in the singles with Ashe in the Davis Cup challenge round against Australia. Ashe had reached the final on Saturday by defeating the Australian, R. Ruffels, 8-6, 6-4, 6-8, 8-6.
