CANBERRA, Nov. 6.
Australia must keep up its payments on the Fill, even though all difficulties over payments have not been ironed out, the Minister of Defence (Mr A. Fairhall) said yesterday. He was replying to an Opposition question in Parliament whether payments on the 24 swing-wing fighterbombers Australia has ordered from the United States could be suspended until the difficulties were cleared up. Mr Fairhall said arrangements obliged Australia to make cash payments for work performed and materials supplied.
