Traffic Study Overseas
Traffic studies will occupy much of the time of Mr A. Williman of the civil engineering department of " the University of Canterbury, when he goes on .refresher leave in December and January. Mr Williman said he hoped to spend most of his time at the department of traffic studies at University College, London, the head of which, Professor R. J. Smeed, was an authority on traffic and well known for his research into traffic problema. On his way to Britain via Singapore, Delhi and Europe, said Mr Williman, he would meet other highway authorities, and after a holiday in Europe, would return to New Zealand through Canada and the United States, where he would again study traffic questions.
