CONDUCT IN N.Z. WATERS

Assurance By Japanese (N.I. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. The Japanese Government would endeavour to ensure that Japanese fishing companies with ships on the New Zealand coast behaved themselves, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said ta Partiament today. The Prime Minister of Japan (Mr Sato) had told Mr Holyoake while he was in Japan recently that the Japanese .Government was concerned with maintaining good conduct from its fishing fleet in all parts of the world. Mr Holyoake said the Toko Mani, at .present on an inspection, trip in New Zealand waters, was the third such vessel to visit the area and that tiie visits had undoubtedly exercised a good influence on the behaviour of fishing vessels In these waters.
