Golden Summit, winner of the Waihirere Wines Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double, beat Damar by a neck. There was only a nose between Gurkha, winner of the Makaraka Hack Handicap, second leg of the main double, and the runner-up, Royal Guest The Golden Summit-Gurkha combination paid $73.05 for $l.
