The exhibition covers 1100 sq. ft. Before the exhibition closes on September 13, about 20 groups of 100 school children from schools throughout Christchurch will attend lessons on the oil industry at the exhibition.

They will squat in cushions on the floor while they hear talks on oil exploration, drilling, refining and marketing. All questions on oil will be answered. Films Will be shown throughout the day. They pertain to the oil industry and the motor industry. The object of the exhibition run and organised by BP (N.Z.), Ltd, is to show the dependence of the community on the International oil industry.

The many by-products of the oil industry are displayed at the exhibition in words and photographs. These range from plastic toys and telephones to insecticides.
