The winner of the New Zealand amateur billiards title would represent this country at the world amateur billiards championships in Ulster next year, the president of the New Zealand Amateur Billiards Association (Mr F. Holz) said last night. Mr Holz was speaking at the opening of the national amateur billiards and snooker championships, in Dunedin. In the final game of the day, A. Twohill (West Coast) made a break of 162. Twohill. the present titleholder, beat R. Flutey (South Auckland), 626-327. Other results included: — E. Simons (Canterbury) 503. S.
