N.Z. Hurdler Qualifies

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The former Otago hurdler, R. V. Johnson, has gained full selection in the New Zealand team for the Olympic Games in Mexico, the Games association’s secretary (Mr G. Craig), announced yesterday. Johnson, a former national champion and record holder for the 400 metres event, qualified with a run of 50.7 sec at Lake Pahoe, in the United States, at the week-end.
