N.Z. Girl Wins Roller Skating
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Miss S. Martin, of Auckland won the women's onemile speed skating title at the 1968 Pacific roller skating championships in Brisbane this week. The other New Zealand speed skaters competing at Brisbane all qualified for the semi-finals - and finals which will be concluded tonight.
P. McArthur (Napier) was runner-up in the senior men’s freestyle event and Misses J. Ballerini (Auckland) and T. Rumpsey (Palmerston North) were second and third respectively in the intermediate women’s freestyle championship.
