Hanmer Pools
Sir, —Last year the Health Department reported that repeated examinations of the hot pools at Hanmer Springs showed gross faecal contam-
ination. Could you ask. please, if any tests have been done this year?—Yours, etc., S C August 27, 1968.
[The supervising Inspector for the Health Department (Mr J. B. Snoad) replies: “Regular sampling and bacteriological examination of the Hanmer pools are carried out. Results indicate that a standard satisfactory for an unchlorinated heated water pool is being maintained.”]
