Ashburton Competitions Festival Continues

The fourth day of the Ashburton Competitions Society’s annual festival yesterday was notable for a high standard in several of the dancing and vocal classes. The dancing, which is by far the largest section, was held in two nails. A Mosgiel entrant, Christine McKeague, won the North Canterbury Championship title for the under 10 years sword dance. Rosemary Armstrong, of Christchurch. won the open class for both Irish jig and seann triubhas.
