$605 Theft
The theft of a suitcase, containing money and lottery tickets worth $605.50, from a house in Salisbury Street, yesterday afternoon has been reported to the Christchurch police. Detectives are also investigating the theft of a wood lathe, valued at $3OO, from a shed at the rear of a house in Woodham Road A house in Domain Terrace was burgled yesterday afternoon and a transistor radio and wrist watch, valued at $64 stolen. Two sheepskin rugs, valued at $24, were stolen from a car in Trafalgar Street.
