The editor of the “Christchurch Star” (Mr G. Buras) and the District Commissioner of Works (Mr D. B. Dallas), both of whom will soon retire, were praised for their services to the community by the I chairman of the ChristchurchI Lyttelton Road Tunnel i Authority (Mr R. A. Wit- ' brock) at a social function I arranged by the authority | yesterday afternoon.
