“Golden Disc” Finalists

WELLINGTON, August 27.
The 10 finalists in the 1968 “Golden Disc” award have been announced.
They are: The Avengers (“Love-Hate-Revenge”), The Chicks (“River Deep, Mountain High”), Ray Columbus (“Happy In A Sad Kind Of Way”), Allison Durbin (“1 Have Loved Me A Man”), The Formular (“Come With Me”), Mr Lee Grant (“Bless You”), The Hi-Rewing Tongues (“A Tropic Of Capricorn”), Larry’s Rebels (“Do What You Gotta Do”), The Shevelles (“Beat The Clock”), and The Simple Image (“Spinning, Spinning, Spinning”). They were chosen from 63 entries. The winning entry will be chosen by public vote. The “Golden Disc” award will be presented in Auckland on November 7.
