SCHOOL OF CATERING
Proposal For Heretaunga
(N Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Aug. 27.
A national school of catering will be established as part of the new Central Institute of Technology, which is to be developed at Heretaunga. The Minister of Education (Mr Kinsella) said the school would provide courses in catering crafts and hotel management. Before management training was offered, however, a discussion would be held so that expert advice could be obtained from the hotel and catering industry on the exact needs, Mr Kinsella said.
There will also be preliminary discussions with interested organisations about the possible establishment of a full-time course in institutional management.
