With no Rugby played yesterday in the Combined Services and Police winter tournament in Auckland, interest centered on the second-round matches in the hockey and basketball and t|ie first two rounds of the Carter Cup golf. With one round to play, the competition points are: Army, Air Force 3, Navy, Police 1. Results yesterday:— Indoor Basketball. MenRound 2: Air Force beat Navy, 58-27; Police beat Army, 58-38, Women —Round 2: Air Force beat Navy. 49-13; Army beat Police, 52-9.
Hockey.—Round 2: Air Force beat Navy, 4-0; Army beat Police, 3-2.
Golf. —Carter Cup—Round 1: Games halved, one point to each service. Round 2: Army beat Police, Air Force beat Navy.
