Nobody Knew
When the Lincoln College Council was informed yesterday that all local interests had approved regulations for the new diploma in landscape design, a member asked why degrees in architecture, agricultural engineering, civil engineering, fine arts, or horticulture were acceptable prerequisites whereas a degree in agriculture was not. Neither the acting chair-
man, vice-principal, Professorial Board members on the council, nor anyone else present had an answer. It was decided to ask the Professorial Board for an explanation with a view to seeking a change but submissions to the universities’ curriculum committee of the regulations already approved will not be delayed if this would hold up the course.
