Polish Consul Approached
(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Aug. 25.
A deputation of about 20 representatives from Wellington Socialist organisations called on the Polish Consul in Wellington today to present a protest note condemning Polish participation in the invasion of Czechoslovakia.
Led by the chairman of the Wellington Socialist Forum (Mr H. C. Mac Neil) the deputation comprised members of the Victoria University Socialist Club, the Wellington Socialist Forum and the Farm Road branch of the New Zealand Labour Party. The Polish Consul (Mr J. Cedzynski) is in Poland, but his wife received the protest and gave the deputation a cordial reception, according to Mr Mac Neil.
