Harris was left with a 9ft putt, but failed to make it, giving Murphy first place and $20,000. D. Wysong finished third at 277. F. Beard rallied to tie for fourth with J. Nicklaus and C. Coody, at 278. R. J. Charles (New Zealand), finished on 284, one stroke behind B. Crampton (Australia) who topped the foreign qualifiers.
