Three Unbeaten In K Cup

Three teams remained unbeaten in the K Cup section at the end of the fourth series of matches in the New’ Zealand women's hockey championships at Gore yesterday.
They are Auckland A and Eastern Southland A. leading in section A, and Otago A, the leader in section B.
Still in the running in section B are Auckland B and Canterbury A which are drawn to meet this afternoon. Otago A will play Canterbury A on Thursday afternoon. Canterbury A played more consecutive hockey against a determined but less skilled Manawatu side, to win 6-0. Canterbury varied its play with constructive short passing.
Goals for Canterbury were scored by L. Rutledge, H. Walker (4) and J, Dann. In the morning Canterbury A scored a narrow but deserved 1-0 win over Maniototo.
Canterbury B was easily beaten 5-1 by Auckland A after winning well, 2-0 against Otago B in the morning.
