CRICKET SQUAD
A training squad which includes young players most likely to gain representative selection this season has been named by the Canterbury Cricket Association, to practise under the direction of R. C. Motz.
Twelve of the 14 named are senior club players, the other two, B. Bhana and R. W. Fulton, both play for their respective school first elevens.
The squad is:—R. W. Anderson. K. A. Nicholson, P. A. Stubbings. D. w. Stead (Riecartoni. Bhana (Linwood H.S.), A. E Collins (Lancaster Park), C. L Bull. D. R. Hadlee (Old Beys). Fulton (Christ's College). C. M Kirk. B. J. Patchett, D. G. Trist, I. X. Walter (West University), M. G. Lester (Old Collegians).
Coaching will begin on Tuesday, September IS, at 5 38 p.m., and thereafter wil| be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.30 p.m. until 7 p.m. players are to provide their own gear and must wear rubber soled footwear. Any player not available is to ring 43-K3-Advt.
