Papanui Players In League Side Again

The four Papanui players who were forced io withdraw from the canterbury Rugby league team which played in the Southern zone quadrangular tournament at Dunedin earlier this month, A. W. Thompson, J. G. Clarke, M. R. Napier and C. R. Schwass, have returned to the squad for the Northern Union Cup challenge against Otago. The convener of the Canterbury selection panel (Mr E. Butts) said last evening the former Kiwi centre, L. P. J. Brown (Marlst-Western Suburbs), would not be available tor the game, at the Show Grounds on September 7. Five members of the Canterbury squad that played in Dunedin, J. G. Hales (Linwood), R. F. Gillman (Iddlngton), G. A. Cowan (Marlst-Western Suburbs). R. S. Cotter (Addington) and G. M. Teen (Marlst-Western Suburbs), have been relegated to the Canterbury B team to play the Canterbury second division team in the curtainra R, e F.
