Extent Of Air Pollution
“You wonder what progress is being made when you hear the Minister of Health (Mr McKay) say there is no air pollution in New Zealand,” said the Mayor of Riccarton (Mr E. J. Bradshaw) at a meeting of the Riccarton Borough Council last evening. Christchurch had a problem which could be solved only by a local effort with Government support, he said. On Mr Bradshaw’s motion the council commended the work being done by the air pollution committee of the Christchurch Regional Planning Authority.
