INVERCARGILL, Aug. 20. The 14,000 tons of wheat being loaded in the Greek freighter Athena at Bluff was destined for Singapore and Formosa, a spokesman for the Southland Wheat Disposal Pool, Ltd, said today. Four thousand tons is to go to Formosa and 10,000 tons, including 500 tons in bags, to Singapore. Details of the destinations for the under-grade wheat—which suffered sprout damage during humid weather before the southern harvest this year—could not be revealed until the sales were settled.
