Forest Office Burgled
About $52, a cheque-book, receipts, and a radio were stolen when the office of the New Zealand Forest Service at the Ashley State Forest was entered on Thursday night A small safe removed from the premises was found at Loburn yesterday morning.
The radio is said to be of little use to other than forestry staff, as it is on a fixed frequency. Detectives are investigating the burglary, the fourth in the Rangiora area in about a month.
